A Dental Assistant basically assists a dentists in providing dental treatment to patient. They do this by preparing the patient for treatment, passing instruments to the dentist, sterilizing instruments, holding the suctioning device and taking x-rays. You don't necessarily have to have a degree to become a Dental Assistant.
